Scout is designed as an extension of the DAM_Scout offering. Users can search museums anywhere in the world, or around their current location. Museums can take ownership of their listing through the platform for simple offerings – basic museum info, hours, highlight exhibitions. Full subscriptions have access to the Scout curation team, building an offering similar to DAM_Scout – video, photo, and text content available throughout the museum, interactive and user-generated interaction pieces – as well as their own in-museum branded experience. The big idea is to marry mobile technology, location-based technology, and art appreciation / support into an exploration tool out in the world and within the museum experience.
